Inspired by bouncy castles, BBB Side Table translates childhood playfulness into conservative furniture design. Soft, inflated forms contrast with the familiar typology of a functional side table, creating an object that exists somewhere between furniture, toy, and sculpture. Requiring constant airflow in order to remain upright, BBB resists the expectation of permanence and stability typically associated with domestic objects. Rather than solving a practical problem, it operates as a piece of memorabilia. A playful reminder of temporary architectures, amusement parks, and carefree moments. Its fragile dependence on air turns the object into a living presence within the space: slightly unstable, loudly buzzing and continuously sustained. In doing so, BBB invites a more emotional and humorous relationship to furniture, where function becomes secondary to atmosphere, memory, and conversation.
