I am a Vessel, 2024
Gallery Bond Print, Acryl, 160 x 90 cm
"I am a Vessel" embodies a conceptual self-reflection of the general space of action. It delves into tactile, material, and shape-driven maximalist freedom, where the process becomes a realm for embracing uncertainty but focuses on feeling and fears.
The object undergoes multiple laminations using various techniques to enable spontaneous perceptions of both the surface and the overall form. The rubber's glossy, round textures distinguish the object from its surroundings. Coloured, glue-impregnated, and latex-laminated textile bandages embody the living essence of the object. Pieces are partially torn from the structure, revealing the bare living framework underneath.
